Key Responsibilities
*Conduct detailed first-off, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured components.
*Ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
*Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection plans.
*Use a variety of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMMs (where applicable), and other inspection tools.
*Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
*Approve or reject products based on inspection results and quality criteria.
*Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
*Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality systems.
*Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns quickly and effectively.
*Mentor and provide guidance to junior inspectors and production staff on quality standards and best practices.
*Monitor non-conformance trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
*Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
*Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the business.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who has:
*Proven experience as a Senior Quality Inspector or experienced Quality Inspector within a manufacturing environment.
*Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and quality management systems.
*Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
*Excellent understanding of measuring equipment and inspection methodologies.
*Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
*Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
*High attention to detail with the ability to make sound quality decisions.
*Confidence working under pressure and meeting production deadlines.
