You will be working in the Finance OU based in Watford in where we are responsible for protecting and growing a successful Skanska UK with predictable, profitable and sustainable performance. We partner with the business to deliver excellent financial services, efficient processes and robust governance - ensuring every decision supports our shared future.
We are currently looking for a Management Accountant who will join us on a 1 year contract to cover maternity leave. They will support the Building Services OU Finance team to deliver accurate and timely financial information; to ensure Skanska’s financial process are adhered to and ensure strong financial governance.
As the Management Accountant (Maternity Cover), you will:
*Support the Senior Management Accountant, including the review of costs.
*Calculating cost recharges and cost re-allocations for review.
*Preparing and validating cost journal and monthly project cash reconciliations.
*Supporting the timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
*Support the interim and year-end audit process, including providing high back up for audit sampling.
*Ad-hoc project support - assist project commercial teams with queries around cost corrections/re-allocations, cash, project recharges and other back-up information
We are looking for:
*Several years accounting experience
*Early-stage studier - working towards accounting qualification
*Strong account reconciliation and validation skills
*Excellent collaboration with other teams and functions
*Good data analysis and interpretation skills
*High attention to detail and strong numerical ability
*Good working knowledge of Excel and Oracle
