Job Description:
Full job descriptionAre you a technically strong accountant looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact?
We’re partnering with a growing and ambitious business that is investing heavily in its finance function. As the company continues to expand, they’re looking for a commercially minded Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting the next phase of growth.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll be far more than a traditional accountant. You’ll help shape financial reporting, strengthen controls, influence strategic decision-making and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience, gain greater commercial exposure and develop into a more senior finance leadership role over time. There is scope to also assist with the implementation too.

*Take ownership of the month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
*Prepare monthly management accounts, delivering insightful commentary and variance analysis.
*Produce statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards.
*Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and oversee complex balance sheet reconciliations.
*Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing meaningful financial insight to support business growth.
*Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
*Work closely with operational teams and senior management to support commercial decision-making.
*Strengthen financial controls and continuously improve finance processes and reporting.
*Support internal and external audits while ensuring regulatory compliance.
*Assist with strategic projects, systems improvements and process automation as the finance function continues to evolve.
*Play an active role in driving efficiencies and supporting the wider growth strategy of the business.
About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a business where finance is seen as a true commercial partner.
You’ll ideally have:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be nearing qualification).
*Previous experience within a Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience preparing statutory and management accounts.
*A proactive mind set with a passion for improving processes and adding value.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its journey, where you’ll have the chance to influence the finance function and see the direct impact of your work.
What’s on Offer?
*Hybrid working after probation (3 days in the office and 2 days from home)
*Healthcare, enhanced pension, free parking
*Clear opportunities for career progression as the business continues to grow.
*Exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
*Excellent benefits package.
If you are looking for a role where you can develop your expertise, gain greater commercial exposure and work in an ambitious organisation please do apply for this role.
