Reed Education is working in partnership with a specialist therapeutic education setting that supports young people aged 11-18 years who require additional emotional, behavioural and educational support.
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and engaging Therapeutic Mentor to join the team on a long-term temporary to permanent basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
The Role
As a Therapeutic Mentor, you will work closely with students, building trusted relationships and providing consistent support throughout the school day. You will help young people develop confidence, emotional resilience, social skills and engagement with learning, whilst acting as a positive role model.
You will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team that takes a therapeutic approach to supporting students with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
*Build strong, positive and professional relationships with students.
*Support students both inside and outside the classroom.
*Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies.
*Encourage engagement in education and personal development activities.
*Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and other professionals.
*Help create a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment.
*Support students in developing life skills, confidence and independence.

*A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
