Full job descriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and professional IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team, providing onsite support to a school in Thetford. It is an initial 4-month contract role with an option to become permanent.
Pay: Equivalent to £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
This is a field-based role where you’ll work directly with customers, delivering day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide onsite and remote IT support.
*Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
*Manage and update support tickets with clear documentation.
*Keep customers informed on progress and resolution of issues.
*Prioritise and escalate tickets where required.
*Carry out routine IT maintenance tasks.
*Identify and report potential opportunities for additional IT solutions.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for candidates with experience supporting and troubleshooting:
*Windows 10/11
*Desktop and laptop hardware
*Microsoft 365 and Office applications
*Active Directory and Group Policy
*Windows Server and Hyper-V
*Google Chromebooks and Google Workspace
*Printers and print management
*Device deployment and imaging
*Mobile Device Management (MDM)
*Networking, switches, Wi-Fi and patching
*Antivirus and endpoint security
*Interactive classroom technology (touchscreens, projectors, smartboards)
Experience within the education sector is beneficial but not essential.
