Key Responsibilities:
As an experienced Paraplanner, you will provide technical support to Financial Advisers through detailed research, report writing and financial planning analysis. You will work closely with advisers, technical specialists and compliance teams to ensure the highest standards of advice are delivered to clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Accurately interpreting adviser client files and recommendations to produce comprehensive Financial Planning Reports.
*Conducting detailed technical research and analysis to identify suitable providers, products and investment solutions.
*Preparing high-quality suitability reports within agreed service levels and internal deadlines.
*Liaising with the Technical Team to discuss complex cases and technical queries.
*Working closely with the Compliance Team where pre-sale approval is required.
*Ensuring all reports are accurate, compliant and professionally presented with excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
*Maintaining accurate records and updating internal paraplanning systems and logs.
*Managing multiple cases simultaneously while prioritising workloads effectively.
*Building strong working relationships across departments to ensure efficient case progression.
*Committing to continuous professional development and maintaining the firm’s high standards of technical knowledge and client service.
What We’re Looking For:
The successful candidate will have:
*A minimum of 3 years’ continuous experience within a Financial Planning firm.
*At least 1-2 years’ experience working as a Paraplanner.
*Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent), or be within 1-2 exams of achieving the qualification.
*Strong understanding of UK financial services legislation and regulatory requirements.
*Excellent report writing and technical research skills.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
*Exceptional attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
*The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
*A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*A professional, ethical and client-focused attitude.
Desirable Skills:
*Working towards Chartered Financial Planner status or a desire to achieve Chartered status in the future.
*Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
*Strong analytical thinking with the ability to consider multiple viewpoints.
*Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently whilst supporting the wider technical team.
