12-Month Contract
£21.00 per hour PAYE (37 hours per week)


We’re recruiting for a Senior Associate Device Engineer to support the development and evaluation of innovative drug delivery devices within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in medical devices, drug delivery systems or combination products to work on the testing, analysis and verification of devices such as syringes and cartridges throughout the product development lifecycle.


Key responsibilities:
*Design and execute mechanical and functional testing of drug delivery devices.
*Develop test methods, experimental rigs and laboratory test setups.
*Support design verification and validation activities.
*Analyse experimental data using statistical techniques and Design of Experiments (DOE).
*Contribute to risk management activities, including FMEA.
*Support design control documentation and technical reporting.
*Work closely with design, quality, regulatory, human factors and formulation teams.
*Ensure laboratory activities are carried out in accordance with ISO 13485 and established quality procedures.


About you:
*Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related Engineering/Science discipline.
*Experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical or drug delivery sector.
*Knowledge of design verification, device testing and analytical test methods.
*Familiarity with ISO 13485, design controls and risk management (FMEA).
*Experience using CAD software (Creo preferred).
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to engineering.
