Are you a compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils within mainstream primary schools across Doncaster?
Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis across welcoming mainstream primary schools throughout Doncaster.
This 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity involves supporting individual pupils with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs whilst helping them access learning within a mainstream classroom. Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (paid via PAYE, no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay, dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will provide dedicated support for a named pupil within a mainstream primary classroom, helping them achieve both academically and socially.
Working as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Doncaster includes supporting EHCP targets, encouraging independence, promoting positive behaviour and working alongside teachers, SENCOs and parents.
Key Responsibilities
*Support one pupil within a mainstream classroom
*Deliver targeted intervention activities
*Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
*Support communication and emotional regulation
*Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs
*Follow safeguarding procedures
Candidate Requirements
*Experience supporting SEN pupils
*Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication needs
*Patient and nurturing approach
*Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
