About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Construction Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on learners pursuing careers within the construction and built environment sectors.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their technical knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of construction industry standards while helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Construction lessons.
*Teach Construction and Built Environment programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities.
*Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
*Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners.
*Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
*Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Support learners in developing practical construction skills and industry-relevant knowledge.
*Ensure all practical activities are delivered in accordance with health and safety regulations.
*Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression.
Requirements
*Relevant degree or qualification in Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or a related subject.
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
*Experience teaching Construction within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments.
*Strong classroom management and communication skills.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
*Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for construction education.
*Industry experience within construction, housebuilding, civil engineering, project management, surveying, or a related field is desirable.
