The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for an experienced Children’s Therapeutic Deputy Manager to join a specialist 3-bed children’s residential home in Gateshead.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive, trauma-informed organisation that provides therapeutic care for children and young people with learning disabilities and emotional and behavioural needs.
The RoleWorking alongside the Registered Manager, you’ll help lead the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance while supporting and developing the staff team.
You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
Shift Pattern:
*Two on-shift days: 7:30am - 9:30pm
*Administrative shifts: 8:30am - 4:30pm
*One contracted sleep-in per week
What’s on Offer?*Salary of £37,640 - £39,640 (including contracted sleep-in)
*Additional sleep-ins paid at £70 per night
*Ofsted bonus of £250 per inspection
*Monthly occupancy bonuses
*Pension scheme
*28 days annual leave
*3 paid wellbeing days each year

About YouWe’re looking for someone who has:
*Experience working within a Children’s Residential Home, ideally in a Senior Support Worker or Deputy Manager role
*Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
*A good understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
*Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding requirements
*Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills
*Full UK driving licence
*A passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people
