AV Support Technician Required
A leading independent school in Greenwich is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive AV Support Technician to join their team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with some AV or IT support experience looking to gain further exposure within a busy and rewarding educational environment. The role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting technology that enhances teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
*Providing first-line AV support across classrooms, halls, and meeting spaces.
*Responding to AV incidents and service requests from teaching and support staff.
*Troubleshooting audiovisual equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and presentation technology.
*Supporting the setup and operation of AV equipment for school events, presentations, assemblies, and meetings.
*Assisting with routine equipment checks and maintenance.
*Escalating technical issues where required and supporting wider IT and facilities teams.
*Delivering a professional and customer-focused support service to staff across the school.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
*Has some experience in AV support, IT support, events technology, or a related field.
*Possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
*Is confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
*Has excellent customer service skills and a helpful, approachable manner.
*Can manage multiple requests and priorities in a busy environment.
*Is reliable, adaptable, and keen to learn.
*Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
Training & Development
This is a junior-level position, and training will be provided. We welcome applications from candidates who have a basic understanding of AV technology and are looking to develop their skills further within a supportive school environment.
