As a Transport Returns Operative, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining vehicle compliance, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring a smooth end-of-day process for our drivers.
*Salary: £28,255.50 per annum
*Hours: 40.25 hours per week
*Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
*Start/Finish time: 10.00am - 10:00pm
*Job Type: Full time 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Here’s what you can expect to be doing
*Debrief drivers and inspect returning vehicles for compliance and safety.
*Report defects, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
*Communicate effectively with drivers regarding daily routes and operational issues.
*Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed.
*Manage returns documentation and perform related administrative tasks.
*Update depot performance statistics and contribute to daily reporting.
A few things about you
*An understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations is desirable.
*Ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational challenges.
*Strong communication skills (Verbal and Written).
*Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel.
*Confident in addressing vehicle-related concerns with drivers in a constructive manner.
