Pay: £36,192.00 Per Annum
Hours: Full Time – Days or Nights
About the HomeAn excellent opportunity to secure high-quality residential care in a welcoming and supportive environment located in Eastbourne. This well-presented care home specialises in providing compassionate care for older people living with dementia, with both long-term and respite stays available.
The home accommodates up to 20 residents within a charming, converted property. Residents benefit from comfortable surroundings, a peaceful garden area, and the option to personalise their rooms with their own furniture to help create a familiar and homely atmosphere.
Conveniently positioned in an urban location with nearby transport links and local amenities, the home offers both accessibility and a strong sense of community.
This is a warm and caring environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and understanding by an experienced and dedicated care team.
The RoleAs a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring high standards of care while supporting and guiding the care team.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading, mentoring, and supporting care staff on shift
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• Supporting residents with daily living needs in a dignified manner
• Administering medication
• Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation
• Promoting a safe, calm, and positive environment
• Encouraging resident engagement and wellbeing
About You• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Previous experience in a senior care role within a care home
• Experience working with dementia care (desirable)
• Medication training
• A compassionate, proactive, and team-focused approach
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care
