Financial Controller
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including:
*Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts
*Full responsibility for the company P&L, Cashflow and Balance sheets reporting
*Presenting to the senior management team
*Cash flow forecasting
*Budget setting and management
*Ensuring compliance with financial controls
*VAT returns and statutory filings in line with deadlines
*Credit control and debtor management
*Day-to-day accounting (sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger, journals and reconciliations)
*Bank payments, payroll oversight
*Maintaining the fixed asset register
*Liaison with external auditors and third parties
About You
We are looking for a self-motivated finance professional who thrives in a broad, independent role:
*Relevant finance qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
*Strong commercial experience, ideally within an SME environment
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
*Excellent attention to detail
*Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership
