Salary: £26,000 – 30,000 per annum
Fixed term contract for 8 – 9 months with potential for extension.
Hybrid working – 3 days in office
About the Role
StormX Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established organisation in North Hertfordshire to recruit an ambitious Finance Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in finance and gain experience within a fast-paced finance team.
This role could suit a recent graduate, school or college leaver with an ambition to gain experience in a finance team. It could also suit someone who has started or is keen to start studying towards their AAT qualifications.
The role is a Fixed Term Contract for 8 - 9 months initially - with good chance of extension.
Key Responsibilities
*The key aspects of the role will be to support the wider finance team in the preparation of management accounts within reporting deadlines.
*Complete daily and weekly accounting reports accurately and on time alongside highlighting relevant variances.
*Allocate supplier invoices to the correct monthly accruals.
*Support accurate financial reporting.
*Maintain accurate financial data and identify and resolve discrepancies where appropriate.

*Flexible and willing to support across different tasks
*Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
