Full job descriptionOur client, based in the Louth (LN11) area, is a leading European packaging company specialising in flexible and sustainable packaging solutions for some of the world’s most respected brands. They are currently recruiting for a Print Assistant to join their award-winning Print Department.
The RoleAs a Print Assistant, you will support the Printer in the day-to-day operation of sophisticated printing machinery, helping to produce high-quality packaging for globally recognised brands. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term career within the packaging industry while learning all aspects of the printing and pre-press processes.
Key Responsibilities:*Assisting the Printer with setting up jobs on the printing machines
*Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process
*Changing reels safely and efficiently
*Supporting the smooth operation of the print department to ensure production targets are met
*Learning all aspects of the printing and pre-press processes
*Following company procedures to maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
*Working effectively as part of a team to achieve production and quality objectives
Candidate Specification:*Previous experience within a warehouse, production or manufacturing environment is desirable
*Strong work ethic with the drive and passion to succeed
*Excellent attention to detail
*Organised, motivated and able to work calmly and methodically
*Keen to learn new skills and develop within the printing and packaging industry
*Good teamwork and communication skills
*Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts
Hours of Work:*12-hour shifts
*4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern
*2 days (6:00am – 6:00pm), followed by 2 nights (6:00pm – 6:00am), then 4 days off
Pay Rate:*£13.41 per hour
