We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join a Finance Department and support the smooth running of financial operations within a Probate team.
The Legal Cashier will be responsible for providing accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, ensuring effective cashiering support for the Probate Department.
*Hybrid schedule
*On site parking
*9-5 Mon to Thur / 9-4pm Friday
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing client and office account transactions accurately and efficiently.
*Carrying out daily banking functions, including bank reconciliations.
*Processing client bills, including checking and posting.
*Managing bank transfers
*Assisting with month-end accounting procedures.
*Completing Money Laundering checks as required.
*Responding to financial queries from fee earners and other members of staff.
*Handling client enquiries and payment queries in a professional manner.
*Preparing schedules of future Client to Office transfers for approval by the Head of Legal.
*Preparing weekly billing and receipts reports.
About You:
*Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier, preferably within a practice handling Probate work.
*Alternatively, experience working within the Probate sector with a strong understanding of related financial processes may be considered.
*Experience using Leap would be advantageous, but is not essential.
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
*Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
