Location: Romford
Hourly rate: £18 - £21 an hour umbrella
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time
Contract: Interim – up to 3 months
We are working with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Interim Finance Assistant to join their finance team at short notice. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a busy environment and can quickly become a reliable member of the team.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s income processing and cash management activities. Responsibilities will include:
*Processing and reconciling income from multiple sources, including retail and fundraising.
*Managing cash and banking reconciliations.
*Supporting accounts receivable and income-related finance processes.
*Assisting with the development and improvement of financial procedures.
*Working closely with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Comprehensive handover and support will be provided by an experienced business partner to help you settle into the role.
About You
We are looking for a professional who can quickly adapt, work independently and build positive working relationships. You will ideally have:
*Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or similar finance support role.
*Strong experience with income processing, cash management, banking or accounts receivable.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*The ability to learn new systems quickly.
*A proactive, dependable and professional approach.
Experience within the charity sector is not essential. Candidates with transferable experience from other sectors are encouraged to apply.
