Full job descriptionAs a Social Worker, you will manage a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, developing care and support plans, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. You will play a key role in empowering families, building resilience, and ensuring children receive the support they need to thrive.


Key Responsibilities
*Undertake assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements.
*Develop, implement, and review care and support plans.
*Manage a caseload that includes vulnerable children and families with complex needs.
*Carry out safeguarding investigations and child protection work where required.
*Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies.
*Attend case conferences, strategy meetings, and reviews.
*Prepare reports and maintain accurate electronic case records.
*Represent the Local Authority in court proceedings when required.
*Participate in duty arrangements and emergency responses as necessary.
*Promote positive outcomes through effective intervention and support planning.
