The Opportunity
An established and growing accountancy and business advisory firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join its successful tax team in Cambridge.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a diverse private client portfolio while working closely with senior leadership on a broad range of advisory projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience, supporting the development of the tax team and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

The Role
As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include:
*Managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, trusts and estates.
*Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and delivering commercially focused tax advice.
*Overseeing the delivery of personal tax compliance while leading on complex advisory assignments.
*Providing specialist advice across areas including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trust Tax and succession planning.
*Reviewing complex tax returns and ensuring all work is delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
*Supporting Partners and Directors on technical advisory projects and complex client matters.
*Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
*Leading, mentoring and developing Managers and junior members of the tax team, promoting technical excellence and professional development.
*Contributing to departmental planning, operational improvements and wider business initiatives.
*Supporting the achievement of financial and performance objectives across the tax team.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*CTA qualified (ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications will also be considered).
*Significant experience within a UK accountancy practice specialising in Private Client or Personal Tax.
*Strong technical knowledge across Personal Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Trust Tax.
*Experience managing a substantial client portfolio with responsibility for both compliance and advisory work.
*A proven ability to build lasting client relationships and provide high-quality advisory services.
*Previous experience leading, coaching and developing members of a tax team.
*Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to identify opportunities for business growth.
*Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
