A modern, fast-growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint two Client Managers / Senior Accountants to join its expanding team in Poole.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm that combines technology with a personalised approach to client service. The practice works with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, sole traders and contractors across the UK, offering genuine opportunities for career progression as the business continues to grow.
The Role
As a Client Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services while building strong, long-term relationships. You’ll also support and mentor junior team members and play an active role in the continued growth of the practice.
Working closely with the Directors, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the firm’s future while developing your own career within a supportive and ambitious environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors.
*Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns.
*Providing accounting, tax and business advisory services.
*Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and maintaining excellent client relationships.
*Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing technical guidance.
*Supporting, mentoring and developing junior staff.
*Identifying opportunities to add value and support business growth.
*Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with deadlines.
*Promoting excellent client service across the practice.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
*At least three years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
*AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified, or be in the final stages of qualification (QBE candidates will also be considered).
*Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance.
*Experience managing a client portfolio.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
*A proactive mindset and genuine desire to progress within a growing firm.
*Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero and FreeAgent would be advantageous.
