We are looking for a Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team.
The Role
*Work with the General Manager who is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, wider Residence Management Team and the College Services Team to ensure the safeguarding and duty of care of our U18 students living in the residence.
*Work with the Residence Management Team and Wellbeing Coordinator Team (as part of a rota) to have a daily contact point with U18 students living in the residence.
*Lead on the U18 students welcome and induction programme assisting students to settle and integrate into the residence, the environment and location in the first days and weeks of arriving in the UK, offering support and guidance as needed
*Undertake welfare checks on students as needed and any necessary additional checks on U18 residents
*Be part of the Wellbeing Coordinator On Call Rota and provide throughout the night assistance any emergencies with U18 students
*Work with the Residence Team to help deliver/events and activities and organise informal "catch ups" in small groups or as a one to one

*Open and approachable manner, empathetic nature with good listening skills and high intercultural awareness
*Strong communication skills including clear, spoken English with ability to grade language appropriately for non-native speakers
*Be resilient and have good understanding of how to maintain professional boundaries and relationships with other residents living in the property
*Ability to receive, understand and convey information clearly, and able to produce clear written communication including incident reports
*Prompt to act and escalate as needed when issues arise and empathetic and proactive in following up issues to resolution
*Commitment to learning and following agreed guidelines and procedures
*Works in close partnership with other team members, building trust and rapport, ensuring timely, regular exchange of information and communication
