IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Mechanical Installation Engineers / Mechanical Fitters for a new-build commercial project in Bridgend.
This is a 4-6 week contract opportunity for experienced mechanical installation professionals with a valid CSCS Card. You will assist the client’s Site Supervisors and Site Installation Engineers with the installation of a theatre counterweight system.
The work will primarily be carried out from birdcage scaffolding alongside an experienced installation team.
Key Duties*Install steelwork, guide tracks and general mechanical equipment, including support brackets.

*Assemble and install counterweight cradles and associated mechanical components.

*Install head blocks, loft blocks, wire ropes and steel wire ropes.

*Align and secure mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings.

*Use hand and power tools to assemble and secure equipment.

*Work safely from birdcage scaffolding and follow all site safety procedures.

*Assist with general mechanical installation activities as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Requirements*Valid CSCS Card - essential.

*Previous mechanical installation experience.

*Comfortable working at height from birdcage scaffolding.

*Ability to work safely and follow site procedures.

*Own hand tools and PPE.

*Experience installing steelwork, mechanical equipment or stage engineering systems would be desirable.
