An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive support to a busy team specialising in Tax & Trusts. Based in York, this role offers the chance to work across a varied caseload, supporting fee earners in matters including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, estate planning, and trusts.

The Role As a key member of the team, you will:

*Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners.
*Open and manage client files in accordance with firm procedures.
*Prepare legal documentation and correspondence.
*Handle client enquiries professionally and efficiently.
*Assist with diary management, document production, and general administration.
*Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
About You The successful candidate will have:

*Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Tax & Trusts or Private Client.
*A solid understanding of wills, probate, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and estate planning.
*Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
*The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
