Job Description:
Full job descriptionConstruction Solicitor (Non-Contentious) | 5+ PQE | Birmingham | Top 50 UK Law Firm | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits | REF: 4624
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Solicitor to join the highly regarded Construction & Engineering team of a leading national law firm. Acting for an impressive portfolio of developers, investors, contractors, public sector organisations and household-name clients, this is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most significant construction and infrastructure projects.
THE ROLE:
You will advise on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, supporting major development and regeneration schemes, infrastructure projects, real estate and corporate transactions, property finance and process plant contracts. Working closely with an established national team, you will provide commercially focused advice throughout the lifecycle of complex projects, drafting and negotiating construction documentation including JCT and NEC contracts, development agreements and associated project documentation. There is genuine scope to become involved in mentoring junior lawyers and, for those with an interest, opportunities to undertake a mix of both non-contentious and contentious construction work.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from Construction Solicitors with at least 5 years’ PQE and strong experience in non-contentious construction matters. You will have a solid understanding of standard form construction contracts, including JCT and NEC, together with experience advising on development agreements and wider construction documentation. Candidates from both private practice and in-house backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will possess strong technical ability, commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills, together with the ambition to play a key role in the continued growth of a nationally recognised practice.
THE FIRM:
This award-winning Top 50 UK law firm is recognised for advising on many of the country’s most high-profile construction, infrastructure and regeneration projects. With an outstanding reputation for client service and technical excellence, the firm offers a collaborative culture, flexible hybrid working, genuine career progression and an excellent benefits package. Lawyers are encouraged to develop their careers within a supportive environment that values innovation, inclusion and long-term success.
