Full job descriptionRole: Interim Financial Accountant
An international group based in Surrey, with offices in London is looking for a Financial Accountant to join them on an interim basis
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this interim financial accountant is responsible for the Group’s consolidation and reporting process.
This role offers exceptional flexibility around hybrid working, a shortened working day would also be considered.


*Location: Occasional office attendance in London and Crawley.
*Salary: £60K-£70K per annum
*Flexible hybrid working


Responsibilities:
*Management of the Group’s multi-currency consolidation across all reporting cycles.
*Management of the Group’s Cognos reporting and consolidation system. Ensuring that the group consolidation process is documented and kept up to date and liaising with Cognos provider to ensure all updates are performed in a controlled and timely manner.
*Assisting with the production of the financial sections of the Group’s annual report and interim statement.
*Assisting with tax accounting for the Group including annual report disclosures.
*Liaising with the Group’s auditors.
*Ensuring the Group’s compliance with IFRS, advising on the impact of changes to accounting standards and developing practice.
*Accounting for Group level items and processes such as goodwill (including impairment testing), share based payment accounting and expected credit loss model calculations.
*Accounting for leases under IFRS16 and communicating correct accounting entries to subsidiaries.


Skills and Experience
*Qualified accountant / qualified by experience (minimum 5 years’ experience)
*Prior experience of working on group consolidations in a multi-currency environment.
*Experience of using Cognos.
