An ambitious and highly respected commercial law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate Corporate Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its growing Corporate & Commercial team in either Exeter or Plymouth.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer looking to work on complex, high-value transactions while enjoying genuine career progression within one of the South West’s leading commercial law practices. The role offers exposure to regional, national and international clients, alongside a supportive and collaborative culture.
The Opportunity
You’ll become a key member of a thriving Corporate team, advising businesses ranging from owner-managed companies and fast-growth SMEs to large corporates, investors and entrepreneurs.
Your workload will include a broad range of corporate matters including:
*Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
*Business sales, acquisitions and disposals
*Management Buy-Outs (MBOs) and Buy-Ins (MBIs)
*Private Equity and Venture Capital investments
*Shareholder agreements and investment agreements
*Corporate restructures and reorganisations
*Joint ventures and strategic collaborations
*Corporate governance and company constitutional matters
*General company law advice for businesses across multiple sectors
Alongside fee-earning work, you’ll play an active role in mentoring junior lawyers, strengthening client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the Corporate team.
About You
We’re keen to hear from lawyers who can demonstrate:
*Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales
*At least 6+ years’ PQE (applications from experienced Senior Associates, Managing Associates and above are encouraged)
*Strong experience handling Corporate M&A and complex transactional work
*Excellent technical drafting and negotiation skills
*Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to client advice
*A genuine interest in business development and networking
*The ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and intermediaries
Experience gained within a Top 100, national, regional or well-regarded boutique law firm will all be happily considered.
