About the Company:
Templegate Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established and growing independent financial planning firm based in Chelmsford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a highly professional and client-focused business. As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with the Directors and Financial Advisers, providing technical support, financial planning research and high-quality suitability reports. This Paraplanner role offers genuine long-term career progression within a supportive and expanding firm.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare high-quality suitability reports covering pensions, investments and protection.
*Conduct technical research and financial planning analysis to support advisers.
*Analyse existing client arrangements and provide recommendations.
*Research products, providers and investment solutions using industry research tools.
*Prepare recommendations in line with client objectives and FCA regulations.
*Review pension, investment and protection products.
*Work closely with advisers to ensure recommendations are technically accurate and compliant.
*Assist with annual client reviews and ongoing servicing requirements.
*Liaise with providers to obtain illustrations, valuations and technical information.
*Ensure all client files meet internal quality standards and FCA compliance requirements.
*Support advisers throughout the advice process from research through to implementation.
What We’re Looking For:
*Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) practice.
*Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards completion).
*Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and protection products.
*Experience preparing suitability reports.
*Excellent analytical and research skills.
*Experience using Intelliflo or similar financial planning back-office systems.
*Familiarity with platforms such as Quilter, Transact and other leading providers.
*Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
*Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
*Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
*A proactive Paraplanner who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Skills:
*Diploma qualified (Level 4) or actively progressing through exams.
*Experience with cashflow modelling and financial planning tools.
*Knowledge of tax planning, retirement planning and investment strategies.
*An ambitious Paraplanner looking to continue developing technical knowledge and progress within the business.
