We’re looking for a confident and passionate Head Cook to join our team in Coventry on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the kitchen, use your creativity, and make a real difference through the meals you prepare.
What’s on Offer*Contract: Temporary
*Location: Coventry
*Pay: £13.94 per hour
*Hours: 4 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), including 2 x 60-minute breaks, covering all 7 days on a rota basis

The RoleAs the Head Cook, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring every meal is prepared to the highest standards. You’ll lead by example, inspire your team, and make sure food is nutritious, well-presented and delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, motivate and support the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality meals.
*Plan and develop menus that cater for a range of dietary requirements and preferences.
*Oversee all food preparation and cooking, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
*Manage stock levels and kitchen supplies, maintaining quality while controlling costs.
*Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
*Listen to client feedback and continually improve the dining experience.
About YouWe’re looking for someone who brings both experience and enthusiasm to the kitchen. You’ll have:
*Previous experience in a Head Cook or similar leadership role.
*A strong understanding of food hygiene, food safety and health & safety regulations.
*Excellent leadership and communication skills with a positive, hands-on approach.
*A passion for producing nutritious, high-quality food.
*The creativity and adaptability to develop menus and respond to changing needs.
