About the Company:


Our client is a newly established national Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) group, backed by leading investment partners, with an ambitious vision to build one of the UK’s leading Independent Financial Planning businesses.


The business is bringing together successful advisory firms within a well-resourced structure, focused on supporting advisers, delivering holistic financial planning and achieving outstanding client outcomes.


Following significant growth and recent acquisitions, the business is now expanding its Paraplanner team and is seeking an experienced and technically strong Paraplanner to join during this exciting stage of development.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a Paraplanner to join a growing organisation at an early stage, working closely with an experienced leadership team and playing a key role in delivering a high-quality paraplanning service. The successful candidate will gain exposure to complex financial planning cases, support advisers with technical research and advice preparation, and have excellent opportunities for long-term career progression.


Key Responsibilities:
*Support advisers as a Paraplanner by undertaking detailed research, analysis and formulation of financial advice recommendations
*Prepare accurate, compliant and client-focused suitability reports and advice letters
*Provide technical support across areas including investments, pensions, inheritance tax planning, tax-efficient investments, trusts and protection
*Work closely with advisers, administrators, compliance teams and fellow Paraplanners to ensure excellent client outcomes
*Prepare cash flow planning forecasts and assist with complex financial planning cases
*Provide technical research and guidance to advisers and management teams
*Contribute to the ongoing development of paraplanning processes, procedures and best practices
*Support the Head of Department, Directors and wider management team when required
*Work alongside compliance teams to ensure advice files meet FCA standards and regulatory requirements
*Keep up to date with legislative and industry changes that may impact clients and the business
*Support continuous improvement by reviewing processes, embedding change and providing feedback within the Paraplanner function


What We’re Looking For:
*Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) qualified, or nearing completion
*Previous experience working as a Paraplanner, or strong financial planning experience with a desire to move into a paraplanning role
*Experience within an Independent Financial Adviser, wealth management or financial planning environment
*Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning and protection products
*Experience producing detailed and compliant suitability reports
*Good understanding of FCA regulations and financial advice standards
*Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing technically accurate work
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when reviewing complex client scenarios
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with advisers and colleagues




Desirable Skills:
*Experience supporting complex financial planning cases
*Knowledge of cash flow modelling and financial planning software
*Experience working within a growing IFA environment
*Progress towards Chartered status or a commitment to continued professional development
*Experience improving processes and supporting the development of a Paraplanner function
*Previous experience working closely with Financial Advisers and senior technical teams
