A leading specialist contractor operating within the foundations and ground engineering sector is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across London. This is an opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a strong reputation for delivering complex piling and geotechnical solutions on high-profile projects.

Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, profitable and high-quality delivery of foundation and piling works, working closely with project and site teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:


*Producing and maintaining method statements, risk assessments and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
*Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, wellbeing and environmental procedures
*Preparing lift plans and supporting safe site operations
*Reviewing design information and ensuring works are delivered in line with design requirements
*Managing quality documentation, as-built records and production data
*Monitoring and reviewing site quality inspections
*Liaising with clients, designers, engineers, suppliers and key stakeholders
*Producing and maintaining site records, diaries and production control information
*Attending and leading progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders
*Supporting resource planning and project coordination activities
*Assisting with cost management, contract administration and change control processes
*Supporting the management of early warnings and compensation events under NEC contracts

What you’ll need to succeed
*A degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
*Previous experience working as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer within civil engineering, piling, foundations or heavy infrastructure
*Strong understanding of construction methodologies and civil engineering principles
*Experience producing RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation
*Working knowledge of NEC contracts
*Valid CSCS card
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable experience:
*Rotary bored piling and diaphragm wall construction
*Support fluid (polymer) management and associated quality processes
*Pile shaft or diaphragm wall inspections using Koden or sonic calliper technology
*Working on major infrastructure, rail or large-scale civil engineering projects
*Checking and inspecting complex reinforcement cages and coupler installations
*Experience working in challenging ground conditions and high groundwater environments
