Full job descriptionReed Finance is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a Finance Manager (Systems & Process Improvement) on an initial 6-month Fixed-Term Contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a strong systems and process improvement focus to play a key role in enhancing financial operations, improving reporting capabilities, and supporting the wider finance function through a period of positive change. The role will suit an individual who enjoys analysing processes and implementing efficiencies to drive continuous improvement across finance systems and controls.
Duties Include:
*Review, evaluate, and improve existing finance systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy
*Lead finance-related process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and standardisation
*Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand current workflows and implement best practice solutions
*Support the month-end process, ensuring reporting requirements and key deadlines are achieved
*Develop and enhance management reporting capabilities, providing meaningful insights to support decision-making
*Analyse financial data and operational processes to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
*Assist with system optimisation projects, including process mapping, testing, and implementation support
*Review financial controls and procedures to ensure robust governance and compliance standards are maintained
*Support the preparation and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets where required
*Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors and software providers, as needed
*Provide guidance and support to finance team members throughout process change initiatives
*Undertake ad hoc project work to support the wider finance and operational teams
Requirements:
*Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE) with a significant amount of hands-on finance experience
*Previous experience in Finance Management, Management Accounts, Finance Systems, or similar
*Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and management reporting
*Proven experience identifying and implementing process improvements within a finance environment
*Experience working with ERP or integrated finance systems - SAGE 200 preferred
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify efficiencies

Salary & Benefits:
*Salary of up to £55,000 - £65,000 pro rata (DOE)
