Full job descriptionPassionate about supporting children with additional needs?Trust Education is currently recruiting for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rotherham from September until December 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
The RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans.
*Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
*Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
*Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
*Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
The Ideal CandidateWe’re looking for someone who:
*Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
*Has a calm, patient and caring approach.
*Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
*Is confident supporting children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH.
*Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential with relevant experience).
