Full job descriptionOur Client, a Merseyside council is seeking a Children’s Deputy Team Manager to join their MASH Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Support the Team Manager in the leadership, management and development of the MASH Team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality safeguarding service.
*Provide oversight of referrals, information gathering and decision-making processes, ensuring timely and effective responses to safeguarding concerns.
*Support practitioners in the assessment and management of risk, offering guidance on complex cases and safeguarding interventions.
*Work collaboratively with partner agencies including Police, Health, Education and Early Help services to facilitate effective information sharing and coordinated decision-making.
*Ensure safeguarding concerns are appropriately screened, triaged and progressed in line with statutory guidance, policies and procedures.
*Monitor performance, quality of practice and service delivery standards, supporting continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and families.
*Provide supervision, coaching and support to team members, promoting reflective practice and professional development.
*Deputise for the Team Manager as required and contribute to service development initiatives that strengthen multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
