Job Description:
Full job descriptionAn early-stage, high-growth cross-border payments business is looking for a Treasury Lead to build and own its treasury capability as it expands internationally. The company operates in complex, fast-moving markets and uses a mix of traditional banking and digital-asset settlement rails to move money efficiently across borders.
This is a high-impact role in a small, ambitious team. Treasury sits at the heart of the operation, so your decisions will directly affect liquidity, partner funding and the successful movement of customer payments. You will work closely with the Head of Finance, founders and investors, with the scope to shape the function from the ground up.
Duties
*Own the daily treasury position across bank accounts, payment-partner balances and digital-asset wallets.
*Manage liquidity and prefunding across international payment corridors, balancing service levels with efficient use of cash.
*Own the daily reconciliation process and improve the accuracy, reliability and automation of treasury reporting.
*Manage treasury relationships with banks and payout partners, including the onboarding of new rails and reducing concentration risk.
*Maintain liquidity, working-capital and cash-runway models for the monthly finance pack.
*Monitor and manage FX exposure, set the hedging approach and execute treasury actions.
*Partner with engineering to automate treasury processes and move from manual reporting to dependable data pipelines.
*Build practical treasury controls, including clear segregation between execution and reconciliation.
*Support month-end and quarter-end close across multiple entities.
Ideal candidate profile
*5-8 years of treasury and liquidity-management experience, ideally within payments, fintech or financial services.
*Strong understanding of settlement timing, prefunding, payment rails, working capital and FX risk in a cross-border environment.
*A hands-on approach, with the confidence to build models, complete reconciliations and resolve operational issues directly.
*Commercial and controls-focused, able to create robust processes without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
*Comfort working with emerging-market currencies and either experience of stablecoin settlement or the ability to learn quickly.
*Strong Excel skills and experience producing accurate, well-supported treasury information under time pressure.
*Experience of multi-entity treasury, digital-asset operations or accounting systems would be advantageous.
Package includes meaningful equity participation.
This role will suit someone who enjoys ownership, pace and visible commercial impact, and who wants to help build the financial infrastructure of a high-growth international business.
