Are you a CeMAP-qualified Mortgage & Protection Adviser who would like a dependable flow of genuine sale and purchase leads without being tied to an estate agency branch every day?
We’re partnering with a well-established, property-focused financial services business to recruit an experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser for the Colchester area. You’ll service existing clients and manage genuine sale and purchase opportunities generated through a network of allocated estate agency offices. You won’t be expected to sit in a branch every day. Instead, you’ll have the flexibility and autonomy to manage your territory, remain visible to your estate agency partners and build commercially productive relationships across the local branch network.
The Role
*Advise new and existing clients on suitable residential mortgage and protection solutions.
*Manage genuine sale and purchase leads generated through allocated estate agency offices.
*Build trusted relationships with estate agency managers, negotiators and wider branch teams.
*Maintain regular branch contact and a strong local presence without being office-bound every day.
*Complete thorough fact-finds and provide clear, suitable mortgage and protection recommendations.
*Take clients from initial enquiry through application, offer and completion.
*Identify protection needs across life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection.
*Manage your pipeline proactively, keeping clients and introducers informed throughout the process.
What we’re looking for?
*Fully CeMAP qualified, or equivalent.
*A proven ability to convert mortgage and protection opportunities while achieving positive customer outcomes.
*Confidence managing estate agency relationships and turning introducer leads into lasting client relationships.
*Strong communication, organisation and pipeline-management skills.
*A proactive, self-directed approach and the judgement to manage a flexible territory effectively.
*The ability to travel regularly across Colchester and the surrounding branch network.
*Previous experience in an estate agency-based mortgage adviser role would be advantageous.

*This is a self-employed position with an OTE of £50k - £80k+ Uncapped
*A guaranteed income may be implemented for the first few months if you’re able to demonstrate a strong track record.
