Full job descriptionProgramme Administrator, Human Rights Organisation, Central London, Temporary, hybrid, c£18.60 per hour plus holiday pay
Prestigious Grant funded Institute with a Human Rights focus needs highly proactive Programme Administrator to provide high level administrative support to grant funded projects. This is hybrid working Temporary role while they recruit permanently. It includes plenty of contact with stakeholders, supporting high profile Executives. The organisation organises investigative trips, intervenes in International Human Rights issues and organises training. You will travel Internationally at least once per year and your gravitas will be appreciated when organising interns. An interest in Human Rights and Law will be an advantage for this role.
Responsibilities will include:
*Organising travel for projects - flights, accommodation, insurance, visas
*Ensuring Executives are organised for their trips
*Assisting with practical arrangements for training sessions
*Support the department input for conferences
*Maintaining project spreadsheets and updating the database
*Assisting staff when abroad, including responding to emails and phone calls, as required
*Provide secretarial assistance, organising catering for meetings, conference calls, reconciling credit card statements, phones
*Ensure grant related information is updated and invoices actioned
*Supporting with drafting budgets for grant projects
*Taking minutes at meetings when needed
*Occasional reception cover is also a requirement of this role
Skills and requirements:
*Degree level Education
*Project administration experience in the NGO and / or charitable sector
*Strong administrative skills with an eye for detail
*Confident Word, Outlook and Excel user
*Confident with first class communication skills
*Works well under pressure and has an interest in Human Rights issues
*Flexible approach and can work out of hours when required
*Powerpoint knowledge would be useful
