Are you an experienced operations leader who thrives in a fast paced manufacturing environment? Do you enjoy developing high performing teams, driving operational excellence and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standards?
Our client is an established and highly successful manufacturer with an excellent reputation for quality and customer service. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Production Operations Manager to oversee the day to day running of a busy production operation.
This is a varied leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for leading production teams, managing resources, maintaining operational performance and creating a positive, accountable working culture. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in delivering business objectives while identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and overall performance.
As Production Operations Manager, you will:
*Lead and develop production teams, creating a positive, motivated and high performing working environment.
*Oversee the day to day operation of a busy manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
*Plan labour and resources effectively to ensure production schedules and customer demands are consistently met.
*Monitor operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.
*Manage staffing levels, shift planning, holidays and absence to maintain optimum operational coverage.
*Coach and support supervisors and team members, providing regular feedback and driving performance improvements where required.
*Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times, promoting a proactive safety culture across the operation.
*Investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions and minimise disruption to production.
*Analyse operational data and key performance indicators to support informed decision making and continuous improvement.
*Work collaboratively with senior management to implement process improvements, enhance operational performance and support future business growth.
*Ensure manufacturing standards, quality expectations and internal procedures are consistently achieved.
Skills & Experience required:
*Previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
*Strong people management skills with experience motivating, coaching and developing operational teams.
*Proven ability to manage labour planning, resource allocation and production priorities within a fast moving operation.
*Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice within a manufacturing environment.
*Experience monitoring operational performance through KPIs and using data to drive improvements.
*Confident managing performance, attendance and employee engagement.
*Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business.
*A continuous improvement mindset with a genuine passion for operational excellence.
