The Opportunity
As Service Charge Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the accounting activities across a diverse property portfolio. Working closely with Property Managers and wider stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial information and ensuring service charge accounts are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting with the preparation, review, and management of annual service charge budgets.
*Preparing year-end service charge accounts and expenditure reconciliations.
*Completing bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Monitoring service charge arrears and supporting debt recovery processes.
*Producing monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis.
*Acting as a key point of contact for leaseholders, clients, and auditors regarding financial queries.
About You
*Previous experience within a Service Charge Accountant position.
*A strong understanding of service charge accounting principles and relevant industry guidelines.
*Excellent Excel and systems skills.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
*The confidence to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
