Location: Blackpool
Rate: £40 per hour
Contract: 8 Weeks | 37 Hours per Week
Blackpool Council is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join its Community Adult Social Care service during an exciting period of improvement and transformation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a multidisciplinary team, providing operational and professional leadership while ensuring high-quality, person-centred practice across Adult Social Care.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead, manage and support a team of social workers and practitioners
*Oversee complex casework, safeguarding enquiries and risk management
*Ensure timely, high-quality Care Act assessments, reviews and care planning
*Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous service improvement
*Provide supervision, coaching and workforce development
*Work collaboratively with health, housing, providers and voluntary sector partners
*Contribute to service transformation and improvement initiatives
Requirements:
*Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration
*Significant experience within Adult Social Care, including safeguarding
*Previous experience managing staff and leading teams
*Strong decision-making, leadership and risk management skills
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
*Committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice
