Working closely with the CEO, this role offers a varied and responsible position where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while contributing to the wider business.

Location: Daventry, East Midlands
Job Type: Permanent

The Role
As Accountant, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the finance function, including:
*Preparing accurate monthly management accounts
*Managing P&L, cashflow and balance sheet reporting
*Supporting budget setting and monitoring performance
*Cashflow forecasting
*VAT returns and statutory compliance
*Credit control and debtor management
*Day-to-day accounting (sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger, journals and reconciliations)
*Bank payments and payroll oversight
*Maintaining the fixed asset register
*Liaising with external accountants and auditors
About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys a hands-on, all-round finance role within an SME environment:
*AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
*Strong practical accounting experience
*Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
*Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
*High attention to detail
*Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
