Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe’re looking for an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Analyst to join a growing business near Romsey.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for purchasing, inventory planning, and demand forecasting, ensuring products are available to meet customer demand while maintaining efficient stock levels. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you’ll use data and analysis to support purchasing decisions, improve inventory performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
The Role
As Purchasing & InventoryAnalyst, you will:
*Manage day-to-day purchasing and inventory planning.
*Produce demand forecasts and analyse purchasing requirements.
*Maintain optimum stock levels while reducing excess inventory.
*Analyse inventory performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
*Monitor supplier performance and support purchasing decisions.
*Produce reports and KPI analysis using Advanced Excel.
*Identify opportunities to improve purchasing and inventory processes.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll have:
*Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain.
*Strong knowledge of stock control, demand forecasting, and inventory planning.
*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
*Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
*Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
*A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
