We are delighted to be supporting The Gateway, part of Future Schools Trust, in the recruitment of a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their Inclusion Unit from September.
This is a long-term temporary position running from September until December, offering an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. Based in Maidstone, the role is for three days per week and involves teaching Maths up to GCSE level.
About the RoleAs the successful Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons to students working up to GCSE level. You will be responsible for planning lessons and adapting learning to meet individual needs, with only a limited amount of marking required.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a smaller, more supportive learning environment and is committed to helping students build confidence and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities*Teach Maths to students working up to GCSE level.
*Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
*Prepare lesson plans and resources.
*Carry out a limited amount of marking and assessment.
*Foster positive relationships that encourage student engagement and progress.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students both academically and personally.

The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Has experience teaching Maths in UK schools.
*Has strong subject knowledge up to GCSE Maths.
*Is confident planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons.
*Can build positive relationships and motivate students with a range of learning needs.
*Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
*Is adaptable, patient and committed to achieving positive outcomes for every student.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential for this role; however, applicants must have relevant UK teaching experience and the knowledge and confidence to teach Maths up to GCSE level.
