About the Firm
Our client, a leading US law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Acceptance Analyst to join its Risk & Compliance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The Role
The Senior Business Acceptance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s client and matter inception process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies. You will work closely with partners, lawyers, business services teams, and senior stakeholders to assess new business opportunities, manage conflicts checks, conduct client due diligence, and mitigate potential risks.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong law firm experience to join a high-performing team in a fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities
*Manage complex client and matter intake requests from inception through to approval.
*Conduct detailed conflicts of interest checks, analysing results and identifying potential legal and commercial risks.
*Review and assess client due diligence (CDD), Know Your Client (KYC), sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEP), and adverse media checks.
*Escalate high-risk matters and provide clear recommendations to senior members of the Risk & Compliance team.
*Liaise directly with partners and fee earners regarding business acceptance requirements and risk considerations.
*Support the review of engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and risk-related documentation.

Candidate Profile
*Significant experience in a Business Acceptance, New Business Intake, Conflicts, Risk, or Compliance role within an international law firm.
*Strong understanding of conflicts management, client onboarding, AML and KYC regulations.
*Experience handling complex and high-value client matters across multiple jurisdictions.
*Ability to interpret and apply law firm policies and regulatory requirements effectively.
*Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at partner level.

Desirable
*Experience working within a US or global law firm environment.
*Knowledge of Intapp Open or similar business acceptance systems.
*Relevant compliance, AML, legal, or risk management qualifications.
