You’ll take ownership of a monthly payroll, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Alongside payroll delivery, you’ll:
*Act as the lead contact for a Defined Benefit Pension Scheme
*Manage payroll changes including pay adjustments, tax and NI changes, sickness, contractual changes and employee claims
*Produce payroll and pension reports, analysis and statutory returns
*Work closely with HR colleagues to deliver a seamless employee experience from onboarding to leaving
*Build relationships with pension providers, HMRC, auditors and payroll system partners
*Identify opportunities to improve, streamline and automate processes
*Help the organisation stay ahead of legislative and regulatory changes
*Resolve payroll queries and complex issues with professionalism and confidence
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to speak to payroll professionals who enjoy taking ownership and want to be part of a team that values expertise, collaboration and innovation.
You’ll likely bring:
*Payroll experience within a busy and complex environment
*Knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, NI and pensions
*Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
*Experience working with payroll systems and reporting tools
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*A proactive mindset and a desire to improve processes
*The ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Why join?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that genuinely invests in its people and encourages professional development.
You’ll benefit from:
*A supportive and collaborative team culture
*Hybrid and flexible working options
*Opportunities to contribute to payroll transformation and improvement projects
*Exposure to complex payroll and pension schemes
*Excellent development and progression opportunities
*A role where your expertise and ideas can make a visible impact
If you’re looking for your next challenge in payroll and want to join an organisation that values accuracy, service excellence and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
