Full job descriptionOur client is an established specialist manufacturer, continually developing their product range for a global customer base. They seek a Financial Controller to join the team, you will support the Finance Director by taking control of financial and management reporting and all areas of finance transactions.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
*Managing a small team, supervising and reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable
*Authorising and approving payment runs
*Managing weekly cash flow
*Managing the company payroll process
*Managing inter-company reconciliations across group companies
*Overseeing and finalising bank reconciliations
*Supervising the project costing review tracker to ensure agreed margins are achieved on each project, working with operational teams to ensure robust financial controls are in place.
*Producing regular cost reports for larger projects and conducting project variance analysis upon completion
*Conducting departmental margin analysis based on monthly and year-to-date results
*Maintaining the finance and sales tracker to ensure information is accurate and up to date for financial forecasting
*Ensuring all projects have appropriate contracts in place
*Managing the company’s taxation affairs, including quarterly VAT returns across the group
*Preparing and presenting annual budgets
*Preparing and presenting quarterly forecasts
Successful candidates will have experience working at Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or Head of Finance roles previously. Ideally candidates will be qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) with strong finance IT skills including advanced Excel. The role gives senior level responsibility with the opportunity to continually develop skills.
