Overview
At Firstcall MOT & Service Centre we are seeking a skilled MOT Tester/Mechanic to join our long-established family run professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting MOT’s, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing repairs to ensure vehicles meet legal and safety requirements. Applicants must possess strong mechanical knowledge and be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
*Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards, accurately assessing the vehicles condition.
*Diagnose & fix mechanical faults using specialised tools and equipment, determining appropriate repair solutions.
*Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.
*To work both as a team or independently.
*Provide good customer service where required.
Experience
*Current MOT tester certificate and relevant vehicle mechanic qualifications.
*Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components.
*Proven experience as a diagnostic mechanic with strong trouble shooting skills.
