Job Description:
Full job descriptionThis is a fantastic opportunity for a high-level Executive Assistant to join one of the UK’s most recognisable organisations during an exciting period of transformation. Supporting a newly promoted CFO, you’ll become an integral part of a fast-paced Executive Office, helping to shape the future of a business that impacts millions of people every day.
This is a brilliant Executive Assistant role, offering the opportunity to become the CFO’s trusted right hand. Working closely alongside the CFO and his Chief of Staff, you’ll take ownership of priorities, build relationships with senior stakeholders and ensure the Executive Office operates seamlessly.
We’re looking for someone who is polished, confident and commercially minded, with the gravitas to build credibility at the executive level. You’ll be proactive, highly organised and naturally one step ahead, comfortable managing competing priorities, making decisions and influencing others. Personality is equally as important as experience - the successful candidate will be engaging, charismatic and able to build strong relationships quickly, whilst remaining calm under pressure.
The business has an ambitious vision for the future and is investing heavily in attracting exceptional people to help drive that journey. It’s a collaborative, welcoming environment with plenty of autonomy, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced EA looking to make a genuine impact.
The core office hours are Monday to Friday, with an expectation of four days per week in the London office and one day working from home. As the CFO’s trusted right hand, you’ll be comfortable providing occasional flexibility outside of standard working hours when business priorities require.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage in its transformation. You’ll work alongside an ambitious and highly regarded CFO, becoming a key member of a close-knit Executive Office with real exposure to senior leadership and the chance to make a tangible impact. If you’re looking for a high-level EA role where you can influence at the executive level, build lasting relationships and play a meaningful part in a business undergoing significant change, we’d love to hear from you.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
*Acting as a trusted Executive Assistant and strategic partner to the CFO
*Managing an exceptionally busy diary and inbox, confidently prioritising competing demands and protecting the CFO’s time
*Working closely with the CFO’s Chief of Staff to manage priorities, projects and executive communications
*Liaising daily with Executive Board members, senior leaders and key external stakeholders
*Preparing presentations, reports, Board papers, agendas and briefing packs
*Coordinating Executive Committee meetings, Board meetings and wider leadership events
*Managing complex UK and international travel, accommodation and itineraries
*Taking ownership of follow-up actions, ensuring deadlines are met, and that projects continue to move forward
*Managing expenses, budgets and wider executive administration
*Screening requests, managing competing priorities and confidently making decisions on behalf of the CFO where appropriate
*Continually looking for ways to improve processes, increase efficiency and maximise the CFO’s time
*Providing occasional flexibility outside of core hours when business priorities require
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
*At least 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-Suite or senior executives within a fast-paced environment
*Experience acting as a true business partner rather than providing purely administrative support
*Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
*Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Highly proactive with excellent judgement and the ability to work autonomously
*Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel
*Professional, polished and well presented
*Calm under pressure with a positive, solutions-focused approach
*Flexible and responsive when business priorities change
*Degree or equivalent experience desirable but not essential
*Strong, verifiable references
*Right to work in the UK
*Priority will be given to candidates able to start within 4 weeks
