We’re looking for an experienced Subcontract Manufacturing Manager with a background in electronics manufacturing to manage subcontract partners, coordinate production schedules and ensure customer orders are delivered On-Time-In-Full (OTIF).
Working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Programme Management, you’ll drive supplier performance, manage manufacturing capacity and ensure materials and products flow through production efficiently.
Responsibilities:
*Manage subcontract manufacturing partners and supplier performance.
*Develop manufacturing plans alongside Production and Programme teams.
*Use ERP/MRP systems to manage production demand and material availability.
*Monitor WIP, inventory and delivery performance, resolving risks proactively.
*Coordinate engineering changes with subcontract manufacturers.
*Plan subcontract manufacturing capacity to support programme delivery.
*Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier performance.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
*Experience in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing.
*Background in subcontract manufacturing, manufacturing planning or supply chain.
*Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
*Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills.
*Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
*Defence, Aerospace or other regulated manufacturing experience.
*Knowledge of IFS ERP.
*Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
*APICS CPIM qualification.
