US/UK Tax Assistant ManagerLondon | Hybrid Working
A fast-growing specialist tax practice is looking to hire a US/UK Tax Assistant Manager to join its expanding private client team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative environment that combines technical excellence with a modern approach to client service.
The firm advises a broad range of internationally mobile individuals, dual nationals, US citizens living in the UK, entrepreneurs, executives and high-net-worth families, providing complex cross-border tax advisory and compliance services.
The OpportunityYou will manage a diverse portfolio of US and UK tax clients, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality compliance work while building strong client relationships and supporting more junior team members.
The role offers significant exposure to complex cross-border matters and would suit someone who enjoys working across both tax systems rather than being purely focused on one jurisdiction.
The firm is also making substantial investments in technology and process improvement, providing staff with leading tax software, automation tools and AI-enabled solutions designed to improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden and create more time for client-facing and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities*Managing a portfolio of US/UK private clients
*Reviewing and preparing US and UK personal tax returns
*Advising clients on cross-border tax issues and planning opportunities
*Supporting clients with international mobility matters
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients and intermediaries
*Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members
*Working alongside senior leadership on advisory projects
*Contributing to process improvement and technology initiatives within the team
About You*Experience working within US and UK private client tax
*Strong understanding of cross-border taxation issues affecting internationally mobile individuals
*Previous experience managing client relationships and reviewing work
*Comfortable handling both US and UK tax compliance matters, with genuine dual-handling experience being highly desirable
*EA, ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification preferred
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*A proactive and collaborative mindset
